Granny Scott’s Shortbread - Joan & Ken

4 ozs sugar

10 ozs butter, softened

12 ozs plain flour

4 ozs rice flour

1. Cream butter and sugar.

2. Sieve flour and work into creamed mixture - I do this by hand. Knead well together.

3. Roll out mixture and cut into required shapes. Fork the top.

4. Sprinkle with a little caster sugar. Bake slowly in a moderate oven. 130 - 140 degrees centigrade.
